a few of my friends have the stage 3 and that is correct, it is very grabby and jerky and it will definitely find any weaknesses in your driveline if you get anything resembling traction
that clutch will absolutely wreck the stock aluminum driveshafts if you don't baby it, my roommate broke one on the street on a 1-2 shift on street tires

It doesn't necessarily get better. YOU do. You'll just figure out engagement and take-off and whatnot on your own, if that makes sense.
I have no complaints with my stage 2. It holds AWESOMELY, and drives like stock. Just a little bit "grabbier" so to speak.
Can't wait to see how she came out!

I have a monster stage 3 too and it's pretty grabby but for what it can handle, it's quite street able for a single disk. Between having the clutch pedal adjusted just below the brake pedal with the Tick master making a very short travel, and a 102mm throttle body on my little 346, I'd say these two make my car touchy more than the clutch.

Update: Got the car back last night. The clutch is not near as bad as what I was expecting. Taking off in 1st gear is tricky because the engagement take place toward the very top of the clutch pedal travel (if that make sense). Shifting into all other gears are fine and on the highway it's just plain bad-***. I will get used to the clutch; that won't be an issue.
Right now, my builder/tuner hasn't done any WOT tuning yet, as he's waiting for me to get the clutch broke in. The tune in it now is ultra safe and according to him, once we start bumping up timing and go for a Max Effort tune, I'll have another 30 to 40 hp on tap. Regardless, the car is fun as hell to drive and I smiled the entire way home. The AI Dart/RHS heads really woke this thing up and with the Tick Performance cam, I don't see any reason I shouldn't be making around 450rwhp once all is said and done. The Accel 44lb/hr injectors fit like a charm and are supplying plenty of fuel for the heads/cam setup. The great thing about them is they will be plenty good for when a 150 shot is added.
So, the gameplan now is to get this clutch broke in ASAP so I can take it back and get the tune maxed out. After that, I'll have the car dyno'd to see what kind of numbers she's making.

I will say the little that I really got on it, this thing is an animal. There is a noticable difference between now to when it was just the cam. Plus, my tuner said there is another 30 to 40 hp left on the table in the tune, but he doesn't want to do any WOT tuning until I get this new clutch broke in. After that, he'll hook me up with a MAX EFFORT tune and then it's off to the dyno.

Glad to hear your back with the car. I can't wait to see some numbers posted. We all know that cam is sick! Those heads looked great and spec'd out nice.
I'm in the process of installing my Monster Stage 3 and MWC DS Loop. Break in=500 miles, stop-n-go! Sounds like it will never end!
Rise: Do you have any rear suspension mods? Do you have any issues with wheel hop? I did pretty bad. The car did not want to lay the 315's down at all. LOL I ordered a set of LCA's, LCA relocation brackets, Panhard bar, and a Energy Suspension Torque arm bushing for now. Hopefully that will eliminate the wheel hop for me.

For sure don't want that happening. The guy who did my build/tune is really **** about things, which is why he put such a safe tune in the car for now. I'm sure he'll be able to get everthing he can out of the car, all while making sure it's not too aggressive so something like that happens.
