Thank you. Yea I usually have to explain it, very few get it on their own. I've thought about changing it but I don't feel like going through the hassle lol

Got the car back last night and it's fully tuned. I need a new fuel pump as the stock one is taxed to the max. My tuner was still able to set the tune up for max effort, but set the rev limiter at 6800 rpms as opposed to 7000 rpms as we had planned. Next step is to get it off to the dyno. I'll keep everyone updated.

Sure will. I had a lot of fun driving the car home last night and then getting it out today. I am very confident that I'm in the 440 rwph ballpark. Dyno results will hopefully confirm this.

Ha, I guess so. Seems as if this heads/cam combo is making some serious power. Hell, I've got Accel 44lb/hr injectors, so I figured they would be good enough with the stock pump, but I guess I stand corrected. No worries; I'll get a new pump and get this corrected.

RFPK-001 on our web site.

You're welcome Nate...

I will say if it needed a fuel pump, and your pump wasn't just overly weak from age, that it's safe to say it's making at the very least 430rwhp. Most F-bodies that need fuel pumps because of the VE they are pulling are making in the neighborhood of 430-450rwhp and well over 400rwtq.

^ Agreed.

Time to invest in that Fast 92/102 and really put the power down! Either way, I'm sure this car will pull like a freight train.

Nice build!

Thanks Martin!!! At 6500 rpm's, fuel pressure goes to 45psi and continues to go down past 6500 rpm's.

My stock fuel pump only has 44k on it, just like the rest of the car, so I wouldn't assume it's overly weak from age and use.

I have the Racetronix. It's nice. It's good to about 600rwhp or so? You can add a Kenne Belle boost-a-pump directly into the wiring harness as well. So it can live at 600-650rwhp in boosted applications too.

This is when I knew I needed a new fuel pump. This is from my first dyno session. Neat little tool he made that screwed into the fuel rails shrader valve.

I've heard good things about the Racetronix pump. Would that pump be a viable option if I plan on going turbo sometime down the road? If not, what would be the "go to" pump that would work on this application, but still be good for a turbo 6.0 making around 700-800 rwhp down the road?

You'll need dual pumps or a really big *** single for 800rwhp.

What would be a good big single option?
