What 3 have you run? There's only about 3-4 left.

SLP, FTP 98/104, and then if you can find Whisper or MTI Clear.

my SLP lid has slight interference with the hood, running it with chris non-ac ram air...I like the slp mostly for its solid construction...I have cracked whisper and other lids...

I've run an MTI clear lid, SLP, FTP104 and the Volant CAI. My favorite, by far, is the FTP 104. I run it with an UltraZ hood and don't rub. My SLP lids have all rubbed despite modifying the radiator support near the lid outlet.

The MTI clear lid warped and eventually broke at the outlet. Cool lid, but very delicate. The Volant CAI wasn't going to fit without modification with an SS hood, so I haven't run it with a hood, just took it off and deal with the SLP lid rubbing.

Basically, FTP 104 has been best for me. Hence the ridiculous price...

Ive had the stock lid (horrible performance)
Slp lid (rubbed and the snaps wouldnt stay down)
Some unknown brand i got off a pull a part car (maybe RK or Granatelli)

I read where it says a higher quality filter may help fit as well?
Like amsoil or slp blackwing filter

The only thing I can think of that a filter would effect is how tight the lid fits. I run an stp filter and my clear mti fits snug whereas my black mti fits a little looser with the same filter.

Best I would say is the SLP Blackwing lid, however hard to find and expect to pay $300+ for one

I run the FTP 104 and an SLP Blackwing filter. Nothing wrong with that setup. TSP 100mm MAF slides in nicely.

When you run the SSRA you cut the bottom of the air box lid to allow the SSRA to run directly into the filter

Yep pretty much all junk. Ive had the SLP and it was decent quality but rubbed on the hood and the snaps didnt always hold it down. I have the FTP 98 and it rubs a little but seriously feels like its made out of paper, I hate even taking it off out of fear it will break. Which sucks considering its so much money.

Mines a whisper lid. You have to kinda force it to fit, but once it goes in, youre set.

I had good luck with TSP lids back in the day (I had both a clear-smoked and regular black). It's a shame they stopped making them.

I am currently running a SLP. It rubs, but fits great since I switched to an Airaid filter (dry). I also had problems with the strap popping off with paper filters, but once I put the Airaid in it seals up awesome.
