Default Fuel pump/pressure question for Camaro recovery...

Just a quick question. I've just bought another 2000 Z28 and its about an hour away and the fuel pump is bad. Its in a tight spot and needs to run to get it out. If I stuck something like an E2000 pump inline up next to the engine, would it pull fuel thru the existing pump/regulator unit in the tank? If so, how long would the rail/injector seals last with unregulated pressure on them (around 90-100psi)? If it won't draw thru the tank, then I could use a temporary fuel tank(gas can) but still will the seals hold? Any other ideas? Thanks everyone.
