Cometic 3.910" bore gaskets or the stock LS1 MLS gaskets. Don't worry about the 5.3L chamber. You have to get a gasket that's bigger than whichever is bigger, either the combustion chamber or piston bore.

And that's a bigass cam. Will be a topend screamer.

this.

Measure both, then specify your head gasket bore

This is the first time i've ever done a big cam swap and decent heads, so how do i measure it? is it the circumference of the piston or from the Head? the extent of swapping was 317s on a stock ls1

1. Measure your cylinder bore. If you are stock LS1/6, then you are at 3.9XX
2. Measure width of combustion chamber. With 5.3 heads, I'm guessing this is around 3.8XX.

For example, my block is 3.905" bore, and my head combustion chambers are 3.96X. In that case, anything 4.000" and over is acceptable.

Ah ok thanks, another question somewhat related. When you get PnP heads from PRC do they remove the casting number and replace it with PRC or do they leave the casting number?
