Default cam change question

So after my oil pump explosion, I have the motor apart block at the machine shop and crank there too. I cam across a good deal on a cam that has about 500 miles from a friends ls2. he had it in his trailblazer and didnt make power till too high up for his liking. its specs are 220/228 .580/.585 114lsa. I would be going from comp cam 242/244 .610/.612 (polluter). The old cam's 1300 rpm cruising drivability was crap. It performed awesome up top. How much power would I be trading off for relilability?
