The other day I got on the main road and punched it, went through first gear, short shifted into 2, went though most of 2 when suddenly without warning the car shut off while i was flooring it. It turned off for a split second, and started back up on its own. All of the lights on my dash were on as usual when u first start the car. Check engine light isn't on, and the car drove perfectly fine under normal throttle after that. I have not floored it since because I have been afraid as to what happened. The car was low on gas then, but I dont think that has anything to do with it. Any ideas?

something similar happened to me once, it turned out to be a loose power wire on the main fuse box.

yep, that, or a ground wire, or something shorted out. Look at the wires by the starter, its hot down there and the wire looms are brittle at this point.

I had this happen to me on a car with a broken battery tray. The battery was tipping back and shorting out.
