Default what cam with no ptv issues?

I'm in the middle of a cam swap and of now, just about nothing has gone right.. More and more money has been spent and I just want this thing to be put back together.
I have the ms4 cam, but when I clay ptv, I have no clearance what so ever on my decked heads. So I am cutting my losses and would like a buy a new cam that I will not need to worry about ptv clearance.
I am doing a cam only, stock heads, but were decked. I have full exhaust.
I want a cam with a real choppy idle that will run well at the track. High 11's would be awesome, but I don't know if I'll see that out of a smaller cam only.

any suggestions on a choppy idle cam, that peforms well, but I WILL NOT have to worry about clearance issues?

Anything with a lower lsa will have a good lope. My 114 sounds good, a lot of it is in the tune and can even be manipulated by the tuner. I'm it sure how much your heads were milled but I run 59cc 243's with a 224/230 comp and have .065 clearance on intake. I ran it cam only for a while and it was a solid performer..

You unfortunately selected a cam that is under minimum recommended PTV with unmilled heads. Will they let you return the MS4 or do you plan to sell. If you can return it, then your selection may be limited by the vendor who sold you the MS4.

Hard to recommend anything without first knowing how much the heads were milled. ASA cam is choppy.

^ what he said.. need to know how much heads were milled. Me personally i would go custom cam route. Also, Martin at Tickperformance has a really good line of new cams selections. Plus his customer service is Awesome! Give him a call and he'll get you squared away.

^ what he said!! Give Martin a call. I have an AI cam and am happy but they were of very little help in cam choice. Martin is very knowledgeable and willing to help. Not to mention his cams make serious power!
