Default Help me hit my 400 fwhp goal

I got a L33

I need to be as close to 400hp ay the flywheel as possible, cant go over and any thing under would be a disadvantage

So far i got a

L33
Fast 92 intake with TB
Ls6 cam
918 springs
Rocker trunions upgrade
Arp rod bolts
No cats
Direct ram air intake
98 octane fuel

I have a feeling it will put me fairly close to my goal

Bigger cam?
Raise compression?
3 angle valve job?

Any input will be great

Why can you not go over? That's a pretty hard judgement call..

What's it going in? Why only 400 ? Need more info to help.
What's the ls6 make stock to the wheels? What about 1.8 rockers? I think some have done this with the ASA cam?... Not to sure though. More info on you OP.

Some backwards European countries have goofy regulations on engine swaps.

get a good cam some 243 heads or 799s and some headers should put you at or plus your goal

build what want then add a restrictive exhaust that chokes performance. you can uncork when appropriate.

raise the compression .you don't need 98 octane ,unless you aren't using knock sensors.you need to resize the big end of the connecting rod if you install ARP rod bolts.Martin at Tick has been designing cams for 5.3s to make some good power.

lose the LS6 cam
The L33 already has 799 casting cylinder heads. The LS6 cam should fit his goal perfectly.

Rod resizing is NOT necessary - don't start that debate again. And his 98 octane gasoline is not what you think it is. Finally, his 9.9:1 compression ratio doesn't need to be increased.

I have seen too many threads that dealt with installing rod bolts with out resizing .have seen the kaltech bolts cause a out of round condition.read about many people doing it and the engine lives also.do a search on ARP rod bolts, they can distort the rod bore..run the highest compression possible if you have knock sensors and high octane fuel .seen many poeple on here run 11.5 + compression on 92 octane gas.consider a ASA cam .
