Power number opinions!
Alright guys I just picked up a 97 C5 M6. 53k miles..
I dont think I will cam this car cause it is much more work than an fbody and Im loving the killer mpg's im getting right now. (35 freeway)
That being said, Right now I have a CAI, Ti Xpipe, Stock mufflers with bypass mod and thats it.
My plans right now are ls6 intake, Dual cutouts, Ported Tb, 1.85 Rockers and a good tune..
where do you think ill be with this? Im thinking in the 360-370 whp range?

I get really sensitive when it comes to these MPG and "more power" topics. I know there can be a balance between economy and power, but pick one...one will have to be compromised
Anyways....An engine is like a a pump. The more air you get in and back out, the more power it will make.
You have the right idea for a cold air intake, ported TB, and a LS6 intake. So more air can flow in...how are you going to get it out? A good engine needs to breathe out just as well as it breathes in. You need headers and a good flowing exhaust.
You don't need fancy rocker arms. The stockers will suite you well although the comp trunnion upgrade is a smart move.
I think your goal of 360-370 RWHP to do-able with your suggested mods + a good breathing exhaust system to include LTs. What about a UDP?

Your better off doing the exhaust side of an LS1 before even worrying about touching the intake side. They gain more power from exhaust work than they do trying to do little mods on the intake side unless your strapping on a supercharger.

Im going to go catless, Im just trying to do this on a budget.. I can get all the parts I listed used and also cheap. The reason im thinking of changing the ratio on my rockers is so that I can capitalize on my stock cam. I dont want to cam this car like I did my camaro because its WAY more work on a vette. I will do longtubes down the road but they are a huge pain in the *** too.. I understand that my mpg's will take a dive (maybe not once my car is leaned out with a tune) but My whole goal here is only do mods that will not sacrifice my daily driveability

Jarren,
By changing rocker ratio you'll most likely need to upgrade the springs as well. Stock LS1 springs will not handle the extra lift and slight duration increase.
