Default My parking lot H/C/I swap (in progress)

alright so it all started off as a simple i was to change out my intake to a ported Fast 90/92 until i made the mistake that 90% happens and broke the oil pressure sensor in the back of the valley. Now with that i just said F it and decided to take everything off and swap the cam and heads out while i'm at it

so far here is the list of parts:

EnglandGreen Mayhem II cam
TSP STG 2.5 5.3L heads
7.400 Chromoly pushrods
LS2 lifter trays
LS7 lifters
42# injectors
FAST 90mm ported
92mm TB
PG springs
trunion rocker upgrade

the hardest part of the whole tear down was getting the crank pulley off (good ol' tanker bar took care of that when it didnt budge/ getting the the head bolts that were not inside the heads off, i guess the previous owner decide to get the long tubes welded to the Y pipe which made it difficult to get the extension between them

i will continue later this week as i have no time to work on it during the day

Man I'm where you're at right now too dude but I've got it at work on a lift. Honestly, the only time I've used it was to get one of the headers out the bottom. Everything else you really do from the top. Even the bottom timing cover bolts after the balancers off. I took my headers out to ease torquing the outside head bolts. Good luck with the rest bro

Your at Ft Hood, how come you didn't use the shop on base?

What 42lb injectors you are using. I'm looking for a set myself.

LOL, brings back memories of doing mine in my buddies garage a few years back. All hand tools, no lift & very little sleep with plenty of beer, LOL.

If they are the injectors I'm thinking of, at our rail pressure, they deliver 42lbs/hr

Sorry its been a while gentlemen for those wondering what happened I got the car tuned and for those that saw my other thread about the hollow noise it turned out to be a a loose rocker that was tapping the valve cover.

I'll post a video later of it idling

Glad to hear you got it finished up. I miss having an auto hobby shop to use lol. The hourly fee was worth the convenience!
