Default no oil to rocker arms

I just got my motor back together last week, I had a bent rod, I replaced 1 rod and 1 piston as well as all the rod and main bearings, after it ran for a couple minutes I noticed a noise, I shut it off and there is no oil getting to the rocker arms, I have roughly 45 psi of oil pressure at idle. any ideas?

Wait longer. It takes time; first driver side then passenger side will get oil. Not related, but, 45 psi after new cam/rod bearings seems low to me...unless, your cam bearings are worn. Did you confirm new bearing clearances including thrust?

Stop running it. W/ 45psi, it should be there. Are you using a true pressure gauge or a stock pressure/no pressure type gauge? Something is wrong. Maybe your lifters aren't pumping. It's a long shot, but, more damage than a bent rod may have occurred when the rod bent. Check for bent pushrods while your in there. Something might be blocking the oiling ports in the block that align to the cam bearings. Most of this is just thinking out loud , but, are things that can keep oil from going to the top end.

the pushrods are all straight there was almost no debris in the pan when I bent the rod.

what do you mean pressure/no pressure gauge I am just reading the factory gauge on the dash. it has nothing coming out of the lower oil galley plug on the block behind and above the oil filter I don't understand how the gauge could work without oil getting to that plug

IDK what year you have, but, a pressure/no pressure gauge is also referred to as a dumby gauge. Any pressure will display good pressure on a dumby gauge. Sounds like you may not have any oil flow. Is there oil in the filter (more than you may have put in it when installed)? Might have to prime the pump.

Geez, I hope it wasn't running dry or you may be replacing bearings again. I'd check the filter & if it hasn't filled up, pull the pan & check bearings. Then pack the oil pump w/vaseline to prime the pump. Might also try starting it again after loosening the fitting behind the intake where the oil pressure sender is. See if oil come out. If you choose this route loosen first & don't run it for very long.

That's good. Now you're back to the top end. Try filling pushrods w/ oil. Remove rockers & pour it into the top of each pushrod. Don't remove pushrods, just pour oil into the top of them as they sit in their place.

Doesn't make sense that there's oil getting everywhere except the top of the engine. Doubtful, that all lifters failed @ same time. Doubtful, that cam bearings all moved laterally.

If it really has been running for 10 min, then they should be pumped up already. But did you bathe the valvetrain in oil before installing everything?
