Default Engine noise after cam install video inside

alright this noise developed after a week when swapped the heads, cam, intake, pushrods and lifters.

it sounds like a hollow knock to me so maybe a piston is hitting it?

Sounds like. Push rod hitting or exhaust manifold gasket broken.

Why would only one be hitting? Kinda of a odd no? I hope its a broken gasket I don't want to open up the motor again

If you didn't flycut, that cam is most definitely hitting your pistons with the 59cc heads you have on there. You probably have barely any exhaust clearance. I bet you smacked a valve when you went WOT and that is the sound of bent valves.

well i never drove the car at that, just fired it up a few times and one day that started happening. it never spun past 3k although i can also be wrong about the chambers but if its a bent valve you say i'll take it to a shop since i'm tired of working on it and i cant fly cut it myself.

i was told there is a possiblity of it being a stuck lifter, i'm going to get a stethiscope tomorrow and pinpoint it

Ive seen just one rocker get lose enough for the pushrod to get out. Also the video is kinda short to really tell. Take out the valve covers. Its cake and easiest thing before you take the heads apart again. Do you have a stethoscope?

That cam will not fit 59cc heads and TSP 2.5s have bigger valves than stock.

Take off the valve covers and see what you can find there, then find someone who has a borescope or rent one and look through the sparkplug holes and look at the pistons to check for damage

Guys, 23x/24x cam with milled heads and stock pistons. It is pretty obvious what the sound is. Heads gotta come off.

Post pics of the carnage. I wouldn't be surprised if you have a whole bunch of on the pistons.

Not only is piston to valve contact very likely, but your pushrods are almost certainly too long. You probably need a 7.350" or 7.375"

^^ Agree with the pushrods being too long as well. I'm running 7.350" pushrods and my duration is 238 for exhaust with the stock heads.
