Default Normal valve and guide life on 2001 243 heads with stock cam?

Took my stock 123,XXX mile 243 heads to the machine shop to have them milled 0.010" and checked over. I'm putting them on a new LS1 crate motor to put in my car (new LS6 cam as well). Shop said there was no need to do a valve job and that the guides were fine. They put my fresh seals in and new springs. I know the LS7s have guide issues, but what's the normal service life on LS1/6 stuff? I was expecting them to tell me some additional work was needed.

I think that it is normal to not need service after your mileage.
