the LQ4 motor doesnt have the pre-drilled hole for the top part for the alternator bracket. most ppl drill/tap a hole for that.

If you're referring to the oil barbell it goes into the drivers rear side of the block.

Like fst100 stated no upper hole for the alternator. Truck alternator or a relocate kit are other options.

A couple of vendors here can offer you gasket kits, TS&P and ws6store are two.

Depending on your plans for building - accessory drive, intake, water pump, starter headers, etc all can switch over.

What year is your LQ4? >99 the crank is a little bit longer, will cause issues with tranny.

Look up a conversion gasket set. Pretty much everything for the bottom end you will need.

Watch out for the oil barbell, many machine shops don't put them back after then clean the bock is you have to pay attention. Its on of the more overlooked things I see from time to time.

Thanks will keep an eye out. Also what about the oil plug does that need replacing. And something that's been bugging me would be I'm going to keep the same stroke on the engine but I'm going to use the Fbody oil pan, tray and pick up tube will it all bolt up nicely and should I use the same color o ring gasket the Fbody has for he pick up tube?
