Read the fine print on the Comp R lifters. They have a very tight preload requirement and Comp recommends adjustable rockers. I would go Morel any day over the Comps.

Are you running double or single taper?

I've heard the double taper might work, but it'd be close. I'd buy just one and see.

I'd also look at short-travel lifters if you want to run light preload. Comp, Johnson, and Morel all make good short-travel lifters...

3/8" pushrod is really not needed if you have a good spring...

I did back to back tests with 5/16" .080 wall vs 11/32" .120 wall and the graphs were identical...500rwhp NA 346 setup, with heavy 110gram 2.04 intake valves...

Graph would still drop off fast after 6800rpm...it didn't pull clean an stable till I switched to the ls3 hollow stems...84-86grams iirc...picked up power and stability...

Spintron testing shows 5/16 looks like a spaghetti noodle at high RPM.

They are double tapered. 7.250 in length with stands milled .040 to bring the wipe inboard. Car has since been sold but I ran that setup for about 8,000 miles. No witness marks at all and a very quiet valve train with PAC 1519's. new owner switched to 1206's and its still pretty quiet, comparable to stock

I used 11/32 .120 manton

A push rod is not going to fix the fact you had a heavy valve and not enough spring to control it.

With the proper springs and weight valves a bigger pr is not going to hurt you.

I'd go with Tooley's Platinums with the titanium retainers before the Lunatis.
