Default what heads should i use

cant make up my mind on the heads i should run. im worried about the compression ratio being to high. i have flat top pistons and a 598 lift cam.
cant make up my mind between 241,243, or 317. im thinking about the 317 cause it would be the lowest compression. its gonna be my dd to so i dont want it pinging.

Figure out your compression ratio, then choose a head that will fit in with your needs, don't just through one on and go.

I don't think I'd use 317s on a 5.7 with a flat top unless your building for boost. You'll have to calculate to be sure on your compression but I don't think you'll run into any problems with a 243 and is the head I would run out of the 3 you named. With a good tune low 11:1 won't be a problem. I've been told 11.5 is the cutoff on 93.

what car is it going into ?will it be fuel injected ?will you have knock sensors to remove timing ?if the engine is tuned right you can avoid any knock .what cam are you using ? figure out the static compression ratio with each head ,use a cam to get a pump gas friendly dynamic compression.

.598 is lift and tells us nothing about cam specs (durations/lift/LSA/ICL) at .050
More info on block:

Flat top pistons, any valve reliefs? if so what size in cc?
