Default Removing dipstick hole plug from GTO LS1 block?

EDIT - That was utterly simple. Complete access and taps right out with basic punch.

-----------------------
Converting a new LS1 GTO crate engine into a LS6 for my car. I need to get that freeze plug out to use my LS6 dipstick tube. I have the engine on a stand and haven't put the pan on yet. Is it as simple as hitting it out with a punch from the back side?

Thanks,

Brian

Yea if you can hit from backside that's ur best shot other than drilling small hole in it (cover from backside of course) then run a bigger screw in then put a pair of vice grips and the slap vice grips with hammer...punching out backside sounds safer though
