Smile Finally made some noise! Tick SNS Stage 2 Mild with PRC 5.3 heads

So last night I finally got the motor buttoned up. Had some setbacks with this build, but she's finally together and makin' some noise!

Here's the list:
-PRC 2.5 5.3 heads @ 62cc (~11.3-11.4:1)
-Tick SNS Torquemax stage 2 mild cam (226/234 on a 110+3)
-Cometic .040s
-ARP bolts
-BTR Platinum spring kit
-BTR SLR Lifters
-7.325 pushrods from Tooley gave me ~.042 pre-load at the lifter
-Stock LS6 intake and throttle body
-Kooks 1-3/4

FYI for my setup I had to fly-cut .060 out of both sides (ended up with .078 intake and .114 exhaust for PTV). Yea it sucked, but that's the difference between a build and a rebuild! Also shows you that no matter what it's your motor and you have to take the measurements, because calculating it on paper can only get you so close. And with clearances this tight it only takes a little error to make big problems.

Also I have to say thanks to Martin@Tick and Brian Tooley. I was truly surprised that with how busy these guys must be, I still had multiple 30+minute conversations with each of them on the phone. Really gotta give them credit for their customer service.

Oh and gotta give credit to Dave at Lindy tools. Called him up at 1pm and ordered 2.120/1.675 cutters and he got them shipped out in only a few hours. Also Dave if you happen to read this, those 1/4" hex heads I asked you to cut in the shafts worked out great. I used a right-angle drill with a hex bit so I didn't have to keep working the chuck under that dam cowl.

Anyway, here's the link. This is pretty much completely untuned. Just set the IFR table quick for the 42lb injectors from FIC and fired her up. The idle is still stock (as you can tell ) and at this point I think it just started listening to the O2 sensors which were probably getting fresh air from the open headers (fuel trims maxed out).

I'll post another vid when the Y is on and I can work on the tune, but for now just sitting in the driveway, she sounds just fine

Thanks guys. I'm going to be tuning this myself with HPT, and it's my first time tuning so it might be awhile lol. But there's a shop about an hour away from me that just got a dyno a few weeks ago and they're having a dyno day on Sept 29th, so hopefully I can get down there then and see what she lays down... Sorry, I know its a long wait, but in the mean time I'll get some videos up along the way

I'm hoping to get the y on today so I can see what the fuel trims are really at and set the idle where it should be.... and of course get a video of how it sounds through the magnaflow and open cutout

Use the instructions I gave you in my PM. It's really easy to check and the degree kit is only 100 bucks from Comp.

It's well worth it.
