I was looking at these this week for an accumulator for a rock crawler. I also cam across a basic fitting and started searching to see if your style is more beneficial than just the oil galley fitting like this one?

We sell those galley fittings as well, but we don't recommend them because they use unfiltered oil. This introduces the risk of contaminants in the oil damaging or reducing the life of your Accusump. All of the oil coming out of our adapter is filtered oil. You also have the benefit of being able to easily add two sensors.

Ok, that makes sense after looking at this diagram that adapter must be right after the filter. Thank you for clarifying.

Yup, and there is that galley plug just after the oil filter that could be used in theory, but in practice we haven't been able to find any fittings that will work in that tight location. It's basically inaccessible.

The only other option aside from our adapter would be to use the galley port behind the intake, where the oil pressure sensor is.
