Need some suggestions
Looking at buying a car, a 1998 formula hard top its a cool car but has 1 problem. Guy changed out intake and after he did car knocks pretty hard on passenger side. Oil pressure is normal and it drives normal with the sound going away above 1500rpm. When I use a stethoscope sound can be heard in the back two cylinders the best, sounds like someone is in the exhaust manifold on each one banging a hammer in there. Also car is sucking hard into the oil fill and dipstick tube could barely get the oil fill cap off there is so much sucking. I was wondering if bent pushrods could cause this as he may not have taken care to keep stuff out of the intake ports when he change intakes. Sound was not there before intake change.

Car is cheap, and body and interior are in great shape, but I don't really feel like pulling motor this late in season winter comes early here. Was hoping maybe he just bent some pushrods.
