Running bad
Hello,
I bought a 228r cam 7.425 push rods ls2 timing chain and double springs from texas speed. I am not sure what went wrong as the install went smooth and I lined the dot on the cam sprocket and crank up what looked really straight up and down. the car seems to idle perfect and revs good but when I drive it feels like it is missing, but the only code that comes up is P0425 which comes up as a fuel problem I just got the computer back from Frost which I called and they were really helpful but still not sure they said bad gas but it never ran like that before if you step on the throttle you can hear it like a ticking sounds like its missing but again no code comes up other than the P0425. car idles at 825 perfect and revs up all the way with no stutter or nothing.

How loud is it? Could be a lifter... If you scratched or otherwise marred a cam bearing you could be experiencing an oil pressure issue... which could cause issues for a lifter (or multiple lifters). Hydraulic lifters need oil pressure to work right.

I would start from the small to big and usually is the small stuff you miss that's going to be your problem. like check plugs, wires , coils, then move up to rocker arms, push-rods, etc..
