Default LS6 intake on LQ4

I know people have done this swap before and I know I will have to modify the accessories, but my question is what other things will I run into with this swap. The truck intake hits my hood so I had to swap it out. When I got the LS6 intake the coolant crossover tube doesn't allow the intake to set properly. So now I have to get a new tube.

So what else am I going to run into so I can go ahead and get everything needed all at once. This is my first LS engine so please be patient

you need a different water pump. from what ive read the intake will hit the waterpump outlet. you can heat the tube and bend it out of the way also.

I will be running the holley accessory brackets. Not sure ifit will be spaced for the LS1 or LS6, either way will require a new water pump and crank pulley. I am more concerned about the little things that are unforeseen. The crossover coolant line as an example.

hard to say what you might run into because your using different accessories.when i swapped from my ls1 to the lq4 i was re-using everything off the ls1.only had to drill the block for the alternator bolt.shaving the bottom of the ls6 intake had no issues for the coolant lines as i choose not to do the rear blockoff plates

side note,i hope you got good tires..you will need them

Its funny you say that because my buddy who talked me into this said that I will be surprised by the power in these motors. I usually deal with mild build big blocks but in my current project the motor was just physically too big. So far I have spent more in getting this thing to fit right than in the motor itself lol.
