Default Hey guys i have a QUESTION about my engine and power

okay, i used to have a profile on here and i know how other forums work, im a moderator on dodgeforum. i had a question, that can lead to alot more but for now it is just this...

i have a 99 z m6 car and i love it.
and im out of nj incase you know ant of the shops i list

its current setup is
04 ls6
ported and polished 243 heads by MCP racing
Manley springs
custom ground cam
SLP timing chain
zo6 intake manifold
rockers
stage two centerforce clutch
4.11 gears and a detroit tru trac locker
American racing full length long tubes
American racing 3 inch y pipe
SLP loudmouth 1 exhaust
SLP intake lid
Walbro fuel pump
38 pound Motorsport injectors
Custom dyno tune by Tunetime performance to cap it all off at 423 horse at the wheels (mustang dyno)

what do you guys think of that ^ ?

not that it matters but suspension stuff is
Koni shocks
Strano springs

okay so basically with you guys knowing that, id like to know for now if i can get a fast 90/90 setup how much power do you guys think it would increase at the wheels with my car? or are there any other good manifold and throttle body setups out there that you guys would recommend?

i want to get more power out of my car and that was the first thing i thought of before i decided down the road on some sort of turbo/supercharger setup (if i ever have the funds to do that haha)

so any info would be awesome. or any other suggestions also. thanks

Forget the fast 90, go fast 102...

423 is not bad considering your using GM head castings vs aftermarket heads...

The rest of your setup look top notch, what custom cam?

honestly, as stupid as it sounds i couldnt tell you. the guy i got it from "didnt give out numbers" i was referred to him by a guy who new him through racing and pretty much said...you wont be disappointed. im dying to know considering i have no idea where id even be able to go cam wise from whats in my car now. i have videos of it idling and everything, i mean maybe you could get an idea of lift and lsa just from hearing it but i highly doubt it lol

Yeah lol I'm not that good to tell you cam specs from an idle vid...

It sounds like my mid 230's cam I had back when I was H/C...

My guess would be 228- 232 area but that's a guess...

Maybe someone like predatorZ could help you more on that...

yeah i have no idea lol, thats the only thing that makes me mad about the car is i dont know what the cam is spec'd at.

that 102 manifold is pretty pricey 1500 with the fuel rails and stuff that wont happen for awhile haha.

i just wanted to get some more input on getting some more power out of it being an n/a car
any other ideas ^

and eventually looking into STS rear mount setups maybe.

and now ive been reading and alot of people are saying that the ls6 manifold is fine up to 550, and the fast 102 is a waste of $ unless your doing an insane build cause your going to lose some bottom end and only gain a small amount of top end.....

no clue what to do anybody have any other ideas also?!?!?

Well other than the fast 102, aftermarket heads, big custom cam... There's not much left to do NA wise ya know...

The fast 90 will bump you up some buy will leave a little power on the table...

That's the thing with being NA, it gets very expensive chasing those extra 15-25 hp lol

yeah i see that lol, i would like to be able to get whatever i can get out of it n/a but i feel like the only way ill be happy powerwise is with some kind of forced setup....and i dont have money for any of that right now lol

basically would like to see around 500 wheel eventually, wouldnt complain with a little more then that either lol 500+

Do you have a dyno graph. That might give a little insite on what size cam by the torque curve and peak power. I dont think it sounds real aggressive but hard to tell.

That's some pretty bad information

Fast intake will gain even on an otherwise stock car, a head/cam car will usually gain even more.

yeah i have a dyno sheet in with all my paperwork, ill have to dig it all out and upload it, and i know i read in one or two places that some people lost power with the manifolds. im not saying that thats 100% true at all lol, just curious as to why theyd say that. considering thats the last thing id want to do after spending that kind of money on an upgrade lol
