Default Ls1 acquired and looking to spend some money!

Hey guys and greetings from Australia!

New here on this forum and just recently purchased a Holden Vt II SS.

I am looking to create an all round vehicle that is streetable and quick (more so than it was originally!)

A key aspect though is to keep my engine naturally aspirated and non stroked due to the massive amounts of $$$ involved haha.

Right now my budget is around $5000 and I have planned to get:

1. Full service of car and engine

2. OTRCAI

3. 4.11 Diff

4. Dual 3″ exhaust system

5. Camshaft (plus all the necessary things to put it properly in place)

I aim to have fun and spend more time on the road than dyno, though I do have a long term goal of achieving 500rwhp if possible.

Another thing is that I have read on a view forums that with the ls1 cammed only, one can achieve mid to low 11 second quarter-mile times.

I'm looking for the suggestions and recommendations about which parts (especially cam selection), brands and places to use for my car to achieve my above goals and it would be very appreciated!

Furthermore my total weight of the car is around 3520 pounds.

Thanks!

Do you plan on sourcing your parts from the US? Gonna also play a role as to what u get, shipping is going to cost as much as the parts.
