Too much valvetrain noise?? (vid)
Hey guys. I know some say LS motors are prone to valvetrain noise, but I'm wondering if mine is a bit excessive. Vid below (even though I feel its louder in person). Driving around with the cutout closed and windows open I can definitely hear it.
Valvetrain setups is:
-SNS stage 2 mild
-BTR SLR lifters
-BTR spring kit
-BTR 7.325 PRs (gave me .042 pre-load, Tooley recommends .050 for his lifters)
I'm wondering if stepping up to 7.350 be worth it to try to quiet it down, or if the .067 pre-load would be too much over spec.

Thanks as always.

I'd say no. My car has a big cam and ls7 lifters. Silent when driving and idling, but if I pop hood and yank on the throttle cable I hear some chatter similar to yours.

Sounds normal to me. The thing you need to listen for are any sounds that are arrhythmic (not in unison with the other engine sounds). You'll know when something is wrong when it happens. When a lifter goes, it makes a horrible sound and sometimes can even squeal.
I wouldn't sweat it.

IMO you're good, it sounds perfectly fine to me.
What it is, is that you exhaust is fairly quiet so even the subtle engine noises are a lot easier to hear making you think you have to much valve train noise, which I feel you don't have at all.
