Check out EPS. Alot of guys are running his cams and really like them. He can grind you any size cam you want.
If you want an off the shelf cam, the Texas Speed (TSP 228r) is a very popular choice. TSP also has a 224r cam. Both are really good.

There are as many opinions as to which cam you should run as there are people on this site, haha. There are some good proven off the shelf grinds like the afore mentioned 224r & 228r from TSP. Martin@Tick just released some new grinds this year that are also proving to be some real power makers. If you want something custom the go to folks are usually going to be PatG, Geoff@EPS and Martin@Tick.

What are your goals for the car? Is it going to be a DD, a dragster, weekend warrior? And no matter what cam you go with, the valve springs are going to need replacing.

Will it have L.T. headers, or stock exhaust manifolds/shorty headers?
With having a A4 trans I'd look at a stall first, something around a 3600 stall TC like a Yank or Circle D .

You might want to really consider, putting the stock cam back in it until you can put in a high stall TC, otherwise with any cam even a 224/224 114lsa you're not going to enjoy it very much at all.

For starters, it will try and push through the brakes when you try to stop.

Performance will suck and you'll be disappointed thinking you have the wrong cam while all along you need a TC.
But it is doable on the type of cam specs you are talking about. 224 on 114 LSA only has -4 degrees overlap so it will be possible to idle close to stock and not push through the brakes much.

Similar to a TR224 114 would be a
Comp Cam XER 224/224 .581/.581 114 +4 LSA (That is 110 ICL).

You might want to read this and look at the graphs contained within. http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/e...2/viewall.html
I know its with the square port heads but even the smallest cam made more power everywhere. So if you are not keen on getting a stalled converter, something like the crane, but on better lobes will be a good boost in power everywhere and carry the rpm better. Maybe do a smaller version of the "torque cam" on lsl/xfi lobes just ask someone to help get the valve events right. Just remember to take the article with a grain of salt I only post it for comparison of cams with progressively bigger durations and the affects on torque/power curve. I know upon first reading this I was impressed with the smallish cam averages.

3200 9.5" stall from FTI.

Tick "SNS" Stage 1 camshaft. 223/227 .610"/.614" 111+2.

Gets my vote.

It is a great street cam if you are running the stock converter. I, myself, am running that cam and since I put in a 4K converter a couple months ago I am disappointed with the car under part throttle circumstances. As it stands right now the car accelerates better under lockup conditions than unlocked at part throttle. So there is a point where the hotcam stops being great for a street car and becomes a hindrance.
