MS4 had a pretty aggressive intake lobe. That is a lot of stress for driver.

Yup, aggressive ramp rate, strong seat pressures, stock rocker needle fulcrum. Upgrade them and rock on

I think you are pulling that head to replace that valve, get a new valve job on that valve and replacing that retainer and locks.

That's what I'm saying! You better ask one of these guys on here if the needles are smaller than the openings in the oil pump pick-up screen. I don't recall without having both in front of me. One of those needles go through the oil pump its gonna get ugly.

That could happen even on stock cams. Do not panic! most likely it will all end up in your crankcase. Get a strong magnet, run it towards the oil plug to try and harness the bearings. Putting the car on an incline towards the plug helps a bit.
Look carefully at spring valley area for ones that could get stuck here and there. Do replace that valve and retainer asap.

Yes, damage to valve stem has penetrated the hardening. Running it with a new rocker could cause more issues as more "fine" metal is dumped into the oil for circulation. I would flat bed the car if it were mine or fix at the cars current location.

You could disable that cylinder by removing the intake rocker and pushrod, remove the exhaust pushrod and shim the exhaust valve open a small amount Or just let it open and close as is. Then remove the fuel injector plug. Engine will run fine on 7 like this to get you home without any bs............

I would not recommend that. The vibration of a running engine is sure to make the lifter fall out of the tray and crash into the spinning camshaft resulting in a broken lifter and metal fragments through the engine.

BS the lifters won't jump out geez. Even if they did they can't go anyplace....ever see the inside of a LS engine?

Wait I just thought a little more about this....you actually think the lifters can come out of their bores if no pushrod is on them...hmmm then why doesn't it happen when someone breaks a pushrod.......

Its completely safe to run this way.

I am not talking about the lifter jumping out of the top of the tray, I am saying that the lifter can fall back down in contact with the camshaft from the up position in the tray. With no pushrod, there is no spring pressure to keep the lifter riding smoothly on the camshaft. So the lifter can smack into the side of the lob instead or riding up the lob. This is when things break.

This even happens to some when the motor is at rest during a camshaft change. This is why most use wood dowels and/or pen magnets to hold the lifters up during the cam change.

As for the broken pushrod thing. It does happen sometimes. Also, most people aren't stupid enough to drive hundreds of miles on a bent or broken valve train.
