PRC Cylinder Heads
I purchased a set of PRC as cast 225 cylinder heads about a couple months ago. I am still ordering parts to put the new head and cam package together. My question is the 225 as cast is a 6 bolt head. I didn't realize this when I ordered them. I know I am being picky but I don't want a couple extra bolt holes on either side of my engine bay and are these going to be okay to run this way if needed. might seem like a silly question but just wondering. I have seen pictures of these were the casting isn't drilled for the extra bolts. Wondering if I can get those.

Cosmetically speaking they do look weird since most applications don't use
those extra bolt holes but Texas Speed had to keep the casting costs down
by only having one (fits all apps.) kinda part. I'd say if you're not willing to
have a machine shop mill those bosses off which could easily cost a hundred
bucks or so...just bolt em' on and run em' !! Those things WILL make some great power for sure !!

Exactly, we have one of the uglier V8's made compared to all the old school carb'd stuff out there, but it sure does t stop people from retrofitting these motors into just about anything.

I wont be putting the car together until over the winter but when I come up with an idea I will post. I am thinking of just tapping the bolt holes and installing short bolts. This will get rid of the empty bolt hole without having to machine the heads or ruining them if I had a future 6 bolt block. ( a guy can dream right)
