Default $390 to fix egr valve with tube and o2 sensor

Ok, I guess car is fixed now. After replacing the egr valve the car was still running in closed loop and they had had found that only one 02 sensor was wired up. So they installed another 02 sensor and said the car is right.

EGR with the hoses $120
02 sensor $85

The rest in labor. Does that sound high in labor? I think they charge $70 an hour. Just seems a bit much to charge 3 hours labor but maybe it took it. I don't know. Seems to me the 02 sensor would be pretty easy to spot and replace in 5 minutes. Same with EGR. Those seem pretty standard. It couldn't took long to replace the egr and hoses if they were competent mechanics.

Next time do the 02 sensor yourself, extremely easy to change and you can rent the sensor socket tool if you don't have it.

What aggreavates me is that yesterday it's $210 and I called them and the girl is like oh yah hes working on it now. I go bye at 5 and they done closed up. came back up there today and they were like well we put that on and it was still running bad and we found you had 2 wires running into one sensor. So now my price jumped to $390. Sounds like crap if you ask me. I don't think they spent that long on it and if they did, we they aren't very compentent. I told him when i brought the car to check the 02 sensors. Seeing one is missing shouldn't take very long to figure out that wasn't right. Just seems wrong and he actually told me he took longer than 3 hours to find the problem? Really?

I wont be taking it back to those guys. I feel robbed. Don't think an 02 sensor should be $85 either.

02 sensors are expensive. I know the Bosch 13111s are around 62 dollars each, I remember when they were around 85 dollars each though.
