5.3 tsp220 i know this cam gets great reviews but any wish that they have gone with a bigger cam like the 220/224, 222/224, 224/224 or the 226r this cam is for a 5.3

This is for a 5.3 in a heavy truck or light street car? The 220 cam is great for the 5.3, i went with a 224r for my heavy truck and it was a little much at first with the 3200 stall and 4.10s. Milled 243's did wake it up some and Im sure the stock intake is a major choke point. I need more information on your setup to give you advice

It really depends on the application but generally speaking I would rather see a 220r in the 5.3. The 5.3 really starts to lack low end power in heavier vehicles the larger we go in cam.

sorry i have not been on i have been bizzy at work. the motor is a l33 5.3L 799 heads and ls6 intake. this will be going in a 96 chevy s10 with a t56 6 speed.
