Default Heads and cam

Thanks for everyone that helped so far, I have been trying to think of what I want to do and I think I made up my mind. I am going to bolt on a pair of 799 heads onto my lq4 and change the springs and cam. I would really like to build up compression as much as possible and still make it fun to drive everyday. How much should I shave off the heads and what gasket should I use? I am probably going to tune the car for 93 octane.

I also want a cam that would be a nice fit with it and have a nice sounding idle to go with it. I want what everyone wants, rough idle... But I want to make it enjoyable to drive. The motor is going into a 75 vette, super t10 and 3.70 rear gears. Eventually a 6spd swap will be down the road. Any suggestions?

look at a texas speed cam pkg .consider a torquer v2 with the smallest lsa.look at a thin head gasket instead of milling the heads ,a little cheaper .will your swap be carbed or fuel injected ?have your heads checked for flat deck .

Thanks, I should add this:

The motor is fuel injected
I don't race at the track, mostly cursing and race around the streets
I haven't brought the heads to the shop yet for straightness, trying to plan what to do with them first

Would 112 las be too much for a daily driver? Or should I go with like a 114?
