Default Rod bearing install question.

I noticed the other night when i was installing my rod bearings that cracked rods has 2 bearing locks and one is not used why is that? Maybe im not seeing this right and somebody can explain it.

Just make sure the tangs don't touch and you're good to go.

It doesn't really matter which way its installed, the range are probably like that for manufacturing reasons. When you use an aftermarket crank with a different radius in the corners, then you need to pay attention to that. Stock crank not so much.
