Default Smog Laws

Kay guys need some advice. Im moving to NC soon where they have smog laws. Im a cam & heads 383 no cats dumped exhaust. What all will i have to do to pass the smog test.

I'm also entertaining a move to the Charlotte area. I believe its visual and OBD2 inspection and in some counties a tailpipe test. With the exception of CARB legal junk, is this like the crappiness of CA?
