Default Need help with truck engine build

I need some help deciding which cam to get for my truck build. I just want a good low end cam to maximize my torque and gain a few horsepower ( and also sound good) Here is what I have:

2000 Silverado Ext cab 4x4 6.0 LQ4 ( I assume since it has iron heads)

4L80E took a dump so I rebuilt it and decided to do a few things to the motor also. This truck is used as a daily driver with about 3000 miles a year of towing cars. I am not really interested in changing the gears and am not sure whats in it. This truck will rarely see more than 3000-4000 RPM. Here is a list of the plans. Please help me out with the questions in parenthesis or feel free to make other suggestions.

317 Heads – already bought a set with .650 lift dual springs (should I mill them or change the springs? What will my CR be?)
Cam – was thinking of a 228R on a 112 (will this cam steal my low end TQ? Are the .650 springs too big? What LSA?)
Torque converter – seen a couple B&Ms for RVs figured I would get one of these that stall 2000 (is that enough?)
Headers – I have to find a set of LTs with a y that will clear 4wd components
Head Gaskets – MLS? (any advice on thickness or size?)
Tune – (anyone suggest a mail order place?)
Trunion Upgrade – (Do I need this for this build?)
Pushrods- I realize I will need new ones if I mill but if not will stock work?

Everything else will stay stock including the truck intake manifold (unless its really holding me back) Let me know what you guys think. I don’t want to make any mistakes. Let me know if I left anything out or need to buy anything else. Thanks for the help.

Tick Performance SNS Stage 1 TowMAX camshaft.

215/218 .604"/.598" 111+4

-5.5 degrees of overlap and will drive like a dream while making stupid power over the stock cam. Basically this cam will take the stock power curve and boost it by 35-40 numbers across the board.

I feel the 228R is too large for a 2000rpm stall.

If you want a comparable Tick Performance cam to the 228R, our SNS Stage 2 TowMAX cam is 223/230 .610"/.609" 111+4.
