There is alot more that goes into choosing a cam than just the way that it sounds . I wouldn't recommend throwing in just any ole cam shaft just to get an aggressive sound. Give martin at tick performance a call and tell him what you are looking to do with your car and im sure he can get you a cam that will have the sound you are looking for along with the performance that comes with a cam swap. just my .02

I dident realize that 3 new threads a day on the same subject was required. I think hes lookin for that different answer than he has been given. Hes still waiting on someone to say yea get such and such cam and stick it in their. Itll be fine.LOL Although in my younger days I have done that to an old small block chevy. This isent one of those nor would I recommend it for either . LOL

gm hot cam. little bump in hp. easy on valvetrain. you will need to upgrade your stall converter with almost every aftermarket cam. also you might as well freshen things up while youre in there, valvesprings, pushrods, oil pump, etc. read the stickies man, TON OF INFO IN THEM.

It is a good idea to have a cam spec'd for your specific build. While a lot of the shelf grind cams are "good enough", there is always room to grow with a custom grind. Like everyone has all ready said, at the minimum you will need to upgrade valve springs and push rods, and it is not a bad idea to do an oil pump and timing chain while you are all ready there. Are there any other mods done to the car?

There should be a limit on the number of "what cam should I get" threads. This guy has like 6 in the past month its getting out of hand. Do some research and call places and see what they say.

I remember when I started a cam thread awhile back before reading the stickies. I could have saved like a 3 page thread I think it was. Those cam stickies are seriously legit.
