Default Spun my under drive pulley on the crank! N/A

Alright so I chewed up a serp belt Friday night and it's been on for a few years and just chalked it up to old belt after taking a quick glance around at the pulleys. Replaced it and made it 2 minutes and chucked it again! So now obviously something is very wrong, so I check over each pulley individually and all is well untill I get to the crank pulley. It's moved out about 3/4 of an inch on the crank! Wth! Everyone is telling me that once you get over 500hp you have to pin it. While if your belt driven boosted I could understand that, but n/A?

I tightened the bolt back up and it pulled back on solid and square, runs true on the crank. While both my crank and balancer are already keyed, it's not a big deal as I put a key in this time as last time I didn't have one. But I don't understand why it would do that when it has no extra force on it then stock.

did you use a new bolt when you put it on? I reused my stock bolt the first time because I didn't realize it was torque to yield and it spit the bolt out, pulley never slipped though

Similar thing happened to me recently. ARP bolt backed out...caught just in time. Back together and pinned this time.

If the bolt is torqued properly you should not have issues.

I also put a little bit of rtv under the washer and bolt head to keep it from leaking.

Yep, heard this about ARP myself. Looked mine over yesterday and it seemed fine so I'm gonna run with it. I highly recommend a flywheel holding tool and you torque it appropriately. I'm willing to bet the ARPs that have come loose were installed correctly.
