Question for the engine builder gurus ....spun cam bearing what to do?? Short version ......
2009 6.0L. 68k miles in a van...
Only complaint was Check engine light......
P0011 cam actuator performance ...
Can't get the cam actuator to move when commanded with the scan tool ...
Again short version ...
Removed oil pan and found debris in the pan..
Cams always get chewed up so I started their.....
Any way ....
Can't get the cam out of the block ...# 2 cam bearing is stuck to the cam ....
The actuator runs off oil psi from the # 2 cam bearing.....
I got a new engine coming for it .......,
Not sure how much the core is .. But should I buy it ???
Is this block fixable ??
Just replace the cam bearings and run it or not that easy ........
Engine ran fine ... Only complaint was the check engine
