My first question is did you order the 6.100" rod for the stock crank with the .945" pin? Or the aftermarket .927" pin?

Stock crank? If so it doesn't matter as long as valve reliefs are positioned correctly.

If you have an aftermarket crank, the chamfers need to face away from eachother and towards the crank cheek so that the chamfer clears the radius in the rod journals.

I was told to put the chamfers on the outside even on a stock crank to help with oil control
