5.3 rebuild piston ring gap help!

Default 5.3 rebuild piston ring gap help!

hello all i am new to this forum.

I am building a 2001 5.3 so far the cylinders have been bored .030 over i have sealed power pistons and rings. The only thing i am unsure of is what the endgap should be on the top and bottom ring?

As long as you don't plan on spraying it I'd set them at .018" top and .020"
secondary.

Thanks! And actualy i had thoughts on spraying it with like a 50-75 shot
