Default Do I need a converter right away?

Can I swap in a 224 114LSA cam on my a4 car without a converter? (I do plan on buying one in the near future). Do I need it tuned right away.

You will be much happier with the performance if you do the converter first. You won't be very happy with that cam on a stock converter. Yes - you will need tuning, especially with the A4.

I ran the TR 224>112lsa for about a year with factory convertor untuned. The 114 ideas a lot better on a4's so you can hold off on both until you can get it done, you just wont have near the benitits you would with a tune and convertor.
