14.1:1, bonkers. Looks like a very 'spensive build. Good luck.

What is the intended purpose? Street/Strip? Intended HP goal?

Pretty cool, I'd like to see the results once it's all done.

The purpose is mostly track with a little street for just causing around. This obviously is not a DD. I am hoping for 500 rwhp but my tuner things I will be in the realm of 580 to 670 rwhp. The wide range is due to the E85 typically giving a boost of 20 to 30% hp from switching to it from 93 octane, so it varies up to 10%.

I want to do something like this with my stock bottom end 346. 14:1 on e85, but with a Super Victor/4150 TB setup. I'm looking forward to see how this goes for you. I'm sure you have a ET/HP goal in mind, care to share?

600 rwhp is my goal but anything over 500 I'll be pretty happy with. My ET goal is at least 10s. It is certainly doable on a 346 but you would need a much larger domed piston like +11 cc to achieve 14:1.

I had just planned on flycutting and milling the heads to acheive the compression, but probably wouldn't be safe on stock pistons and rods. I've got ARP rod bolts, but doubt the pistons would like that much compression.

I wouldn't be confident on the stock pistons longevity with that much compression. It would be better to at least get new aftermarket ones at a minimum.

Looks stout.

I have to ask: Why the catted Y pipe, and do you plan to address the Kooks merge? Where's the cutout?

Thanks! Catted y pipe because virginia requires cats if I want to drive it on the street at all but I plan to gut them so it looks like I have cats. Not sure what you mean by Kooks merge? I have debated getting a 4" merge collector, is that what you meant?

98TransAmWs-6, did you consider the ARH 2" headers with 4" collector? I see you're going to run the Kooks 2" to 3" collector.

I did not know they made that. I may do that. I would need a new cat back though unless it can hook up to my lm1.

I didn't know they did either until reading another thread last night. Only reason I've been looking is because I'm going to upgrade to bigger headers and figure 2" primaries and 4" collector would be great for my current mods, and for mods down the road. You could probably merge get a merge for the y-pipe and then run your LM1.

Cool I may do that. I found that Kooks makes one as well. Pretty much the same thing as ARH as well.

I knew Kooks has 1 7/8th stepped to 2" headers and also 2" headers, but from what I've seen, the collector size is 3.5", not 4". I was looking at them on Maryland Speed's website.

They have a y pipe that is 3.5 to a 4. I saw it on the WS6TORE. Are you talking about the collector on the header or the merge collector on the y-pipe? If the first yeah Kooks doesn't make one.

Yeah, I'm talking about the headers collector. If I go with them, I'll ditch the Texas Speed True Duals and run a 4" Borla XR1 right off the collector.

Where are you finding those ARH headers on ARH 's site I don't see them as a option.

Yeah, just looked and they are not on there. There is a guy on here who has them. I'll try to find out where he bought them from.

EDIT: Here is the thread where I found out about the ARH headers.
