Default what year is my 5.3

I'm trying to order cam/main and rod bearings for my engine... but they make them for different years of 5.3s the guy i bought said it came out of an 05. Also said alot of other **** that is not true. Hence is why i'm doing the rebuild. So i have The casting numbers which is 125678392. there is also another stamp infront of the block where the waterpump is located, G06 , also where the passenger head is located (on block) 02f03. has the 706 heads... also numbers below the 706 casting is 5018X2220924... Thanks in advance...

The main and rod bearings are the same across all gen 3 motors.

The cam bearings do have some variations, however.

Here are some ways to tell if you have a mid-04+ Gen III 5.3 engine:

1. LS2-style connecting rods.
2. LS2-style lifter trays.
3. Low profile Oil Pressure Sending Unit.
4. Head bolts are 2 different lengths instead of 3.

No difference at all I have a 2003 and a 2005 sitting next to each other and externally see no difference.
