Default .927" or .944" Pin Diameter Rods?

I was just looking at SDPC's website and noticed that crower has 2 different size pin diameters. Whats the difference of using one over the other?

the .927 is a regular SBC small end and the .945 is the late model LSx small end. There's one million more pins and pistons made for the old .927 pin size basically.
