Their 5w40 is supposed to be pretty good, so if you can get that stuff for free that would be my choice. I honestly haven't seen an LS1 running on Synpower of any viscosity though. But the 5w30 and 10w30 are formulated on the thinner side.

But beggars can't be choosers, free oil is free oil!

You can always run it in your other cars.

I know alot of racers that swear by Valvoline,I've been told it coats the valve springs very well and flows very well threw the motor.I noticed an immediate difference in how my motor sounds running Valvoline.I run a mix of their Street Dino (3qts) 10/30 and their Race Dino 10/30 (3qts) in my car.

I change it about 2K miles or after I go racing.

not exactly free, buy one case get then second one for free. so that 12 quarts for half price.
