Default Help me to make a choice!

Hello guys this is my first post in this board but I been around for a bit of time!

I sold my 95 LT1 T/A I used to run a Lt4 hot cam in my car in a 383 engine it was nice decent power.

Now I have a 2000 ws6 and I would like to get a camshaft, I been doing a reserch and I can tell that you guys recomend the TR224 overall.

I drive my car every day and I also travel to Vegas from San Diego every two or three months is a 700 miles round trip and my question is if the TR224 woul be a good cam for me.

Thank you guys!

if your an auto I'd get at least a mild stall first...otherwise that cam sounds good for what you want.

then ya a 224/114 or 112 would be a decent choice...114 for better gas mileage 112 for more lope

Three more simple questions questions!

With this cam do I need to change the springs every 20,000 miles or so? I hope not

How much HP you think my car would gain?

I planning to spray N2O is this cam safe for that?

Thank's

If Im not mistaken, you need to change your springs anyway. because of the increased lift. however i could be wrong about that. as for your other questions, since you have headers (i assume LT's) the cam should give you around 40 extra hp. and yes 224's love N20

I'm jus about to order the cam but there's two of them

224/224 .563/.563 112 LSA and 224/224 .561/.561 114

Wich one is the one that is right for me! (Long trips and Daily driver)

Thank you all you guys!

just buy the TR224 cam package, comes with all the **** you need. the 112 w/ tune will be fine for daily and long trips.

112 LSA is better for more lope, and a little more power, and 114 LSA gets you a little better gas mileage at the expense of a few ponies.
