Default Brian Tooley Racing stage II cam

For anyone interested in what the Brian Tooley stage 2 LS1 NA sounds like , here's mine - cold start so wait till warms up in last 30 seconds for idle lope.

Sucking noise is just air being sucked up through the over radiator style air intake which gulps the air down big time.

By far the best mannered street driven cam for a DD I've ever used. I'd highly recommend this cam to anyone that wants to retain great drivability but still have brutal mid range power.

My car is Australian which came with a 235kw LS1 engine producing around 240rwhp from Holden factory. With the cam, heads, exhaust, air intake and tune , a gain of 130rwhp is very respectable in my opinion.

I have the BTR III...sounds awesome, pulls to the moon, and loves the juice.
Not a DD but could be with ease

Not necessarily...they are getting very strict down under on car enthusiasts. Exhausts over 90db are a no go, so loud, lumpy, tyre screeching are all offences penalized by law including confiscating your car and even selling it on you in a 3rd offence for things like burnouts and street racing. Even dob in hot lines are popular, if you think the car next door is too loud, you call the hotline and he gets a letter in the mail to go and do a noise test.... hard to have fun these days unless you live in a rural area or next to a race track.

In NZ the police generally bypass a loud V8 compared to a noisy import as long as the V8 driver is being sensible.
3rd strike here for street racing/burnouts/show of speed & the car gets crushed.
Guess NZs a little better off even though we have loosely copied Australians car enforcement laws.
We were lucky to have a leading Hotrod group work with the police & government to implement a self regulating car modification scheme.
All mods have to be certified by appointed regulated engineers in the car industry.

Wow, these laws almost seem Draconian by U.S. standards...except California.

Sweet sound.

OP what's that high pitch noise from the engine, I can hear the air sucking in but only just due to the other noise.
Mine sucks air big time as well, but doesn't have that squeal.

Was a windy day so the sound is a bit off
