Default LS1 windage trays

I just purchased a LS1 truck oil pan for a conversion, it has a built in baffle in the pan although I have seen other trcuk pans with windage trays.

Would there be any difference between the 2 performance wise? Does the windage tray make any difference?

What do corvettes/camaro's etc have windage or baffles?

The car LS1's have a "windage" tray...

The trucks use the baffle AND the windage tray.

So if I use the truck pan in a car conversion can I get away with just the baffle or do I need the tray as well?

I would use both since that is the way truck engines are designed. Couldn't tell you if the truck and LS1 is the same, but I would expect they are. Obvoiusly the truck pick up tube is needed since it's longer.

On my car, the windage tray was bolted to the block, not the oil pan. The oil pan did have a baffle bolted to it though.

So all LS1 engines come with windage tray bolted to block?
