Default Ms4 cam on 853 heads

Can you run the ms4 cam on stock 853 heads? Obviously i know ill need all other supporting mods, but will the ms4 work with the heads on my car

I did, it was okay. Pulled like hell 4K on up, sucked *** below. Bucked with stock gears, gas mileage was ****. Most people would say my car sounded cool, so I had that going for me at least.

Im runnin this combo with a th400 and 12 bolt and i get shitty gas mileage.. But i got fat stall that would make up that low *** dog...

853 heads are fine, but are even better when ported. Your going to want a big stall, with big gear with lots of compression to get the most out of the ms4. It will make great power and run good times if you set the car up properly.

Thanks for the replys guys, i plan on getting heads down the road, might hold off to put the cam in until i have heads but as of now i can get a real good deal on the cam and have always like the cam, so ill be cam only ls1 for now with boltons haha

With the proper gear and/or stall it will be a strong performer for sure!

I'd still check PTV despite others running with no problem. The degreeing of the cam may be different due to timing chain/gears. That's a fairly long duration cam which is where the problems arise much more so than lift.
