Hey guys, I have the hotcam in my car, and dont get me wrong I actually like it, but I want to go a little bigger. I want to retain the ability to run LS6 springs, I like the durability and driveability. I was looking at the ASA cam, it has the same lift as the hotcam, but wider duration and a tighter LSA. It would def lope harder!!! My problem now, is I already paid $535 for a dyno tune. APE did a sweet job and I'm very happy with the results, I had a few idle problems and Brian was quick to take care of me. <thanks brian!> Anyways, I don't really want to pay another 500 to get it tuned. Would tuning be required?

Very convenient to change cams if the tune is good.

Other than the lope my drivability is the same as stock, maybe it's time to start looking for used cam again.

The more duration and lower LSA, the more exhaust smell. What are your goals for you car? More track than street?

No, its still a street car, but I dig the lope I'm looking for a little more power, but I want my car to sound like an offshore power boat

i love my asa cam. i think your tune will do just fine. for that much money for a tune you sure its not a lifetime tune. i payed $350 for a lifetime unlimited tune for ls1 edit at fbody central in baltimore, maryland. about 2 months ago.
anyways goodluck!!! and you will love the lope!!!
